FSSAI License Renewal
Renew your food business license before it expires. Prevent license cancellation and avoid the Rs. 100/day late fee.
Overview
An FSSAI License or Registration is valid for 1 to 5 years depending on what you opted for during the initial application. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) mandates that you must apply for renewal at least 30 days before the license expires. If you apply within the last 30 days, a late fee of Rs. 100 per day is levied. If the license expires entirely, it cannot be renewed; you must stop all food business operations immediately and apply for a brand new license, losing your old FSSAI number.

Frequently Asked Questions
Helpful answers to common regulatory inquiries.
Can I renew if the license has already expired?▼
No. Once the expiry date crosses, the license is permanently suspended. You must apply for a completely new FSSAI license and stop business operations until it is granted.
Do I need to file the Annual Return before renewing?▼
Yes. The FoSCoS portal will block your renewal application if you have not filed your mandatory FSSAI Annual Return (Form D-1) for the previous financial year.
