PF Return Filing (EPFO)
Timely and accurate monthly filing of Provident Fund (PF) returns. Avoid heavy penal damages and labor department notices.
Overview
If your business is registered under the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), it is legally mandatory to deduct the PF contribution from your employees' salaries (12%) and match it with an employer contribution (12%). This combined amount must be deposited into the government treasury every month by filing the Electronic Challan cum Return (ECR). Failing to file the return and deposit the funds before the 15th of every month results in the department levying severe Penal Damages (up to 25% p.a.) and Interest (12% p.a.) under Section 14B and 7Q of the EPF Act.
